2019 was another fantastic year at Spiral which saw some changes to the management team and our club continue to go from strength to strength.
We’ve hosted our annual Spiral Gems and Spiral Rocks competitions as well as our in house Club competition. We’ve seen medals galore at competitions throughout the year, including County Competitions and gymnasts qualifying to regional finals. Regardless of medals, all of our members can be proud of what they have achieved… whether that’s making new friends, keeping fit, achieving new skills, building confidence…
We held our first Summer fun day with lots of activities for all our members (including “soak the coach”- good job it was a hot day! Even a fire engine made an appearance!) We’ve hosted the Children of Chernobyl – always a humbling experience and lovely to watch them enjoy their time with us. Our Young Leader programme was launched in September and we’ve loved watching them grow in confidence and they are already making a significant contribution to the Club.
We finished off the year with our first ever squad display and annual Awards and look forward to making this a regular feature in the future.
Here’s a snapshot of 2019 in pictures and thought we’d start by sharing a video of Kath, our owner and head coach, showing us she’s still got it… Even more impressive considering she had a back operation earlier in the year!!
We look forward to seeing what 2020 brings… Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and we look forward to seeing you when classes start back from 6th January. Happy new year to you all! 🥳
